We’ve not been doing a lot of updating to the website and blog recently… that’s because we’re very very busy in Tuscany admiring the views, eating and drinking extremely well and of course shooting the odd wedding. Check back soon for lots more photos.
DIY DETAILS
Camille and Christophe did a brilliant job designing and making all the little details for their very own DIY wedding at Fiddler Lake Resort, near Montreal. It was a pleasure to shoot such a fun and pretty wedding on the other side of the world! You can see lots more pictures from the day in our portfolio section.
Up in the clouds
Yesterday we took a little time off from editing to welcome our Italian friends to Biarritz. We’re pretty sure dining on fine cheese and drinking wine on top of a mountain at sunset is a pretty good introduction to the Basque country.
CANADA & SWISS
In the past month we were lucky enough to travel to Canada and to Switzerland to shoot weddings for some great couples. Below are a few photos we took with Instagram during our days off in Montreal, Fiddler Lake, Annecy & Geneva.
CHATEAU ST.PRIVAT DES PRES – DORDOGNE
Last month we shot this beautiful wedding organised by Kate from ‘Get Married in France‘ at Chateau St.Privat des Pres in the Dordogne, France. Helen and Jeremy are an English/Aussie couple who live in Dubai so it was a very international affair with guests coming to stay at the Chateau from all over the world. This was one of the most enjoyable weddings we’ve shot, everything was so perfectly planned and the atmosphere incredibly relaxed but great fun. The venue and the surrounding grounds provided ideal spaces for great photos of everyone and everything! Kate, Helen and Jeremy also did a fantastic job with all the little details to make this the perfect chateau wedding.
Wedding Magazine UK
The August/September issue of Wedding magazine in the UK features one of our photos. This is thanks to Adam and Charlotte at Rock My Wedding who have written a nice article on groom’s fashion. Wedding magazine is available from all good news stands!!
Trop Rouge
Here’s my pretty pretty French/American friend, Christina Caradona. She left Biarritz for New York 5 years ago but always comes back to visit us Biarritz girls each summer. I took these photos of her during her 10 day stay a couple of weeks ago for her to use on her ever so popular fashion blog ‘Trop Rouge’. I think you’ll agree, she’s effing hot and certainly knows how to dress herself, so it was probably the easiest photo shoot I ever had to do!
Alongside her blogging, Christina is a model and an actress (currently filming a cool new show for Nickelodeon).
I’m really looking forward to have the chance to do another shoot later in the year, but this time in New York!
Yesterday, Jonny and I shot a lovely wedding here in Biarritz, so with a bunch more to come in the next few weeks we’ll be blogging about some of them soon.

This was earlier this year. Best view in Biarritz.
Living it up in London town
The past few days in London have been incredible. There were many reasons to celebrate together with family and friends so we decided to do so in style (a style that meant living completely outside of our means but hey… bref). With the help of Instagram and a camera we decided to post a little blog about it.
We started the mini holiday with cocktails at Bar Music Hall in Shoreditch courtesy of an invite from Georgia Tolley of wedding blog Before The Big Day. Thanks Georgia for organising this and for some kind introductions. We look forward to sharing some of our upcoming weddings with you over the summer.
On Friday we watched Jonny’s brother’s band, Mystery Jets perform at Brixton Academy. This was the end of the UK tour for their new album ‘Radlands’. It’s a great album with a real Americana vibe. Check out our favourite song from it here.
The next few days basically revolved around eating and drinking far too much. The breakfast at the newly re-opened Butler’s Retreat in Epping Forest was a highlight. We know a full English isn’t supposed to be pretty but this just looked and tasted so beautiful. (above) Their blueberry pancakes weren’t bad either. If you live in the area, get down there fast before they start putting the prices up!
We ate lunch at Gordon Ramsey’s at Claridge’s. Surprisingly, the lunch menu is reasonably priced considering the perfection of the food and the brilliantly attentive and friendly service. Being a guest for the night at Claridge’s Hotel on Saturday was admittedly quite intimidating at first, but it didn’t take long for the staff to make us feel at home. We couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough to very very rich people (or those willing to blow a big fat load of cash on a special occasion).
Dinner at Japanese restaurant, Roka on Charlotte Street was the most epic meal we’ve eaten in a very long time. We went all out and chose the premium tasting menu. The smoked duck, tuna tartar and black cod were up there with the best things we’ve ever eaten! We recommend going for a drink downstairs beforehand as they make some pretty unique cocktails from Japanese spirit ‘Shochu’.
We also finally managed a visit to the Tate Modern to see the Damien Hirst Show. The majority of the pieces were incredibly beautiful, if a little thin on concept. Well worth a visit though!
On Monday evening our friend and colleague Vince Kidd performed an intimate gig at regular music night ‘Dead Or Alive’ at the Old Queen’s Head on Essex Road, Islington. Nothing much to say apart from it was packed and he totally smashed it! We’re looking forward to an exciting rendition of a great song from Vince on Saturday for the semi-final of ‘The Voice’. This Kidd has an amazing future ahead of him and we hope to be there to help document it as it unfolds.
